Markham & Toronto LTD Lawyers Offering Free, Confidential Initial Consultations

If your insurance company has told you that they will not pay your disability benefits for whatever reason, and you and your doctors agree that you are not able to return to work, contact the Mulqueen Disability Law team as soon as possible. We will do our best to help you feel at ease from the moment we first speak. Our training and certifications as a Trauma-Informed Service Provider and in Mental Health First Aid help, but we are also caring professionals who genuinely want to help you if we can.

“It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything is fine.”

Tell us how you really are.

When you first call us, our experienced and very kind, law clerk, Emily Rimes, will spend time with you answering your questions and gathering information about you and your case. She will schedule a time for you to speak directly with Courtney Mulqueen (our Principal Lawyer) as soon as possible. We know you may feel anxious about reaching out to a lawyer and we do not want you to wait long to hear back from us. We appreciate that you are without an income and financially things can become dire quickly. There is no time to waste.

Feel less anxious knowing what you can expect from us.

When you contact Mulqueen Disability Law, we will want to know some important information. We will ask you to send us letters from the insurance company and some of your doctors’ reports if you have them readily available. Not to worry if you do not have any documents to send us. We can get a good sense of your claim based solely on what you have to tell us.

While we would like to meet you in person, we understand that depending on where you live or how you are feeling, that might not be possible. If you are not able to make it to our Markham Office or our Toronto Meeting Room, we can speak on the phone or have a video call. We serve clients across Ontario and beyond. We are well-equipped to represent you, wherever you may live.

Once we have had a chance to meet with you, we will tell you whether or not you have a good case and whether we can be of assistance. We do not take every case. If for whatever reason we cannot help you, we will try to point you in the direction of someone who can.

Accommodating, responsive LTD litigation services

When we take you on as a client, we will take over dealing with the insurance company, allowing you to focus on your health. We will work with your medical team to gather all the evidence we need for your case. We will fight to get you the benefits you are entitled to and desperately need.

We understand that you are not receiving an income which is why we usually work “on a contingency basis”. That means that you do not need to pay us anything until your case resolves.

Once retained, we will communicate all significant steps that take place in your case with you. We do, however, understand the stressors you may have faced communicating with insurance companies and dealing with your claim and we therefore try not to bother you with the day-to-day dealings on your case. We will call you with updates and we encourage you to call us anytime with questions or concerns. We truly believe that the better the communication between us and our clients, the better the result.
